Jesus Speaks to His Churches

Today we will be starting our new series entitled, “Jesus Speaks to His Churches.” We will be looking at what Jesus said to His churches in the Book of Revelations and discovering:

  1. What Jesus approved of concerning the church
  2. What He disapproved of concerning the church
  3. How to apply His words of approval/disapproval to these churches to our personal lives

Because technically, each and every one of us are the church. If it were not for us, there would be no church. Just as each and every cell in our body make up our body, so it is with us. Each and every one of us make up the body of Christ, the church.

Jesus Speaks to His Churches
Lesson 1

Today, after the introduction to our lesson our focus will be on the church of Ephesus in which Jesus “dictated” a letter to the apostle John to send to this church. This letter was like an employee evaluation where it discussed what their strengths were and what their weakness were. For today’s lesson, our primary text will be taken from the Book of Revelations 2:1-7.

Lesson 2

Today we will be looking at what Jesus said to His churches in the Book of Revelations and discovering:

And is taken from a letter that Jesus “dictated” to the apostle John for him to send to the churches. This letter was like an employee evaluation where it discussed what their strengths were and what their weakness were. For today’s lesson, our primary text will be taken from the Book of Revelations 2:8-11.

Revelation 2:12

This lesson series entitled, “Jesus Speaks to His Churches.” Will be looking at what Jesus said to His churches in the Book of Revelations and discovering:

3. And finally, how to apply His words of approval/disapproval not only to our churches but to our personal lives as well.

Today’s lesson, lesson 3B, will be focusing on the Church of Pergamos found in Revelation 2:12-17. Our focus verse will for today’s lesson will be on Revelations 2:13.
