This page explains a little bit about us as a church. Such as, our reason for existing, our purpose, our direction, and our goals.
Lifesong Christian Church is a non-denominational Christian ministry. Our purpose and goal is to be a continuation of the same ministry that Jesus Christ started on this earth over two-thousand years ago. This is the same ministry, work, and goal that Jesus has ordained for His people to do, as outlined in Matthew 28:19-20.
With that in mind, our desire is to move Christians from lukewarm Christianity to sold-out, on-fire Christianity. Thereby, making TRUE disciples for the Lord Jesus Christ. Disciples who are completely dedicated to God and to His work.
We desire to do this because the word of God is clear and tells us plainly that Jesus will not accept those who are lukewarm. But rather, He will spew them out of His mouth (Revelation 3:16). However, Jesus has a genuine desire that no one faces eternal punishment or damnation. Instead, He wants everyone to repent and come to Him for salvation (2 Peter 3:9).
We at Lifesong Christian Church also have that same desire. And, that is one of our purposes for being in existence. We hope to help guide you to and lead you along the narrow path that leads to eternal life; For Jesus said, few will find that path. And just as a shepherd leads, guides, and protects his sheep from dangers, we at Lifesong Christian Church have taken upon ourselves that role of shepherd for the purposes of leading you along the narrow path that leads to life eternal and away from the broad path that leads to eternal destruction and eternal damnation (Matthew 7:13-14).
With this conviction guiding us, our goal and purpose is to cultivate devoted disciples and followers of Jesus Christ; followers who stand firmly on His truths. By studying His teachings, we grow strong and rooted in Jesus. This protects us from false teachers and the lies of this world.
Unfortunately, we are now living in a time of deceivers. Folks want to hear what they want to hear and do what they want to do. They do not want anyone to disagree with them, even if it goes against the commandments and the truths of a holy God. This leads good people to fall for false teachings. They become confused and lost, like a ship adrift at sea tossed around by false doctrines without guidance or direction. The following scripture calls our attention to this (Ephesians 4:14; 2 Timothy 4:3-4).
Therefore, we desire to make disciples for Jesus who sincerely seek God and know His truths. And by knowing His truths, it will help us not go down roads that are not of God. We do this by teaching His truths and not a false or watered-down Gospel ,which is a very serious offense (Galatians 1:8).
And with simple, casual observation, we can clearly see how some of our churches have become houses of entertainment and even sin in some cases. Some have strayed from the true faith to the point they now accept and promote sin, or at the very least tolerate what God defines as sin within the church. By doing this, they are replacing houses of reverence, worship, holiness, and righteousness with things that are not of God. We know how Jesus felt about such things if we just look at an example found in Matthew 21:12-13.
Further, the Lord desires oneness among His people. Sadly, we are also failing in this area in whole as a church as well. This breakdown of oneness within the body of Christ is evidenced by the multitude of denominations that currently exist. We are anything but in agreement. This indicates that oneness within the body of Christ is falling short of what the Lord desires. Therefore, it is our desire to bring back oneness to the Lord’s church. This is why we strive to teach His truths by eliminating added man-made doctrines ( Philippians 2:2).
