First, let me thank you for taking the time to visit our website. I know that visiting a new church can sometimes feel intimidating, especially when you do not know what to expect. If you are considering visiting LifeSong Christian Church, I would personally like to tell you a little more about who we are and what you can expect. My hope is that, in doing so, you will feel a little more comfortable before your first visit.
Whether you are visiting in person or online, our desire is simple: to faithfully worship the Lord Jesus Christ, study the Word of God, and help one another grow together as His disciples. We are not here to impress people with a production or entertain a crowd. Rather, we are committed to pointing people to Jesus Christ, faithfully teaching the Word of God, and encouraging one another to grow as His disciples as we seek to walk in faithful obedience to Him.Time & Location
LifeSong Christian Church is located in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. We gather each Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Our current meeting space is modest, so seating is limited. While we would love to welcome everyone in person, our facility can comfortably accommodate only a limited number of attendees.Online Ministry
Therefore, for those who are unable to attend in person, for whatever reason, as well as those who study with us from other parts of the country and around the world, we also provide an online version of our teaching ministry.
Our online lessons are generally published about one week after the live service. This allows time for recording, editing, and preparing the lesson for online viewing.
The teaching content remains the same, although portions of our live gathering—such as congregational prayer and worship—are not included in the recorded version. If you have questions about a lesson or would like us to pray for you, you are always welcome to contact us by email. We would be glad to hear from you.Recorded Lessons
Our online teaching sessions generally last between 45 minutes and one hour, depending on the lesson being presented.
In Person Services
Our in person services typically last about 90 minutes and include:
- Prayer
- Praise and worship
- Communion
- Announcements
- Bible teaching
While this is our normal schedule, we also desire to remain sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. If the Lord leads us to spend additional time in prayer, worship, or ministry, we are grateful to do so.
Should a service extend beyond its normal length, please know that you are never obligated to stay. If you need to leave, you are welcome to do so quietly so that distractions are kept to a minimum.A Note to Our In Person Guests
Some of the practices described below may be unfamiliar if you have never attended a church like ours. Please know that no one will pressure you to participate in anything that makes you uncomfortable.
Our desire is to encourage spiritual growth while giving everyone the freedom to become comfortable at their own pace. We are thankful that you are here, and we simply ask that you come with an open heart and a willingness to learn.Prayer
Prayer is one of the foundations of the Christian life, and we encourage every believer to cultivate a personal prayer life with the Lord.
During our corporate prayer time, we also encourage believers to pray for one another. At times, this may include anointing with oil and the laying on of hands, as described in Scripture. We believe these ministries are not reserved only for pastors or church leaders but are privileges given to the body of Christ as believers lovingly care for one another.Fellowship: We Believe Church is Family
We believe biblical fellowship is much more than greeting one another with a handshake before heading home. Scripture calls us to know one another, encourage one another, bear one another’s burdens, and genuinely live as the family of God.
Whenever possible, ideally weekly, we also share lunch together following our gathering. This provides an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, encourage one another, and simply enjoy spending time together.
There is never any pressure to stay. Whether you join us for lunch or need to leave after the service, you are always welcome. We Are a Teaching Church
One thing you’ll notice rather quickly is that LifeSong Christian Church is very much a teaching ministry.
We certainly believe in biblical preaching, but we also believe God’s people should understand why they believe what they believe. For that reason, we often spend extra time explaining the Scriptures, answering questions, and allowing the Bible to interpret itself. For this reason, we take time to carefully explain the Scriptures so that they can be understood, applied, and lived out in everyday life. Our goal is not merely to fill minds with information but to encourage genuine transformation through faithful obedience to Jesus Christ.
Because our studies are interactive, you’re welcome to ask questions when appropriate. We enjoy learning together. At the same time, we believe everything should be done respectfully and in good order, just as God’s Word teaches (1 Corinthians 14:33, 40). And since we are a teaching church, we encourage you to bring your Bible, a notebook, and something to write with. But most importantly, bring yourself!Questions are Welcome
Our Bible studies are intentionally interactive. We encourage thoughtful questions because disciples grow by studying the Scriptures together.
At the same time, we believe worship should be conducted reverently and in an orderly manner, following the instruction of Scripture (1 Corinthians 14:33, 40). Participation is encouraged, but everything should be done in a way that honors Christ and serves the entire congregation. The Importance of Gathering Together
Although we are grateful that technology allows us to reach people around the world, we do not believe online viewing is intended to replace faithful participation in a local body of believers whenever such participation is possible.
God designed His people to worship together, encourage one another, bear one another’s burdens, and grow together in love and obedience. Hebrews 10:24–25 reminds us not to neglect gathering together, but to encourage one another all the more as we see the Day approaching. We Look Forward to Meeting You

James
