Church on Saturday???
Yes!!! That is correct, church on Saturday; however, we are NOT associated with the Seventh Day Adventist church nor the Messianic church in any way, shape or form. We hold our services on Saturday simply to give respect to the Lord, and be faithful to the teachings that have been been in place since the very beginning of time. Yes, even before the Ten-Commandments was even a thing.
You see, God has called His people to a rest on the seventh day (which was a Saturday). In fact, this was all part of His creations design. We also wanted to give those who are seeking after Jesus with all their hearts another opportunity to attend church on Sunday as well. This includes ourselves believe it or not. Our philosophy for this is based on the following scripture:
Genesis 1:31 – 2:1-3 King James Version
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
2 1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Exodus 20:8-11 (King James Version)
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
With that said, we do believe that a man should rest from his normal work on the Sabbath. But not to the point of the adhering to the strict, legalistic, rules and guidelines that the Jews, As well as the other organizations that I mentioned earlier have made it to be. For Jesus said it okay to do good works on the Sabbath.
11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? 12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
Therefore by offering church services on Saturday (the Sabbath day, or day of rest) ordained since the beginning of time. We attempt to keep it holy and honoring to God as He prescribed since the beginning of time.
